HIGH SCHOOL: Was a three-year varsity letterman at Lamar Consolidated and Thurgood Marshall High where he saw time at running back, tight end, linebacker and strong safety for a new coach each season... rated No. 84 safety in the nation by Scout.com... helped the Buffalos go a combined 27-7 with three trips to the state playoffs... played freshman season at Memphis University School where he helped the team win the state title... as a senior, named first-team All-District 23-5A and claimed Houston Top 110 honors from the Houston Chronicle after posting 49 tackles, breaking up a pair of passes and recovering a fumble for a touchdown... sat out junior season with a knee injury...also lettered in track and field.
